Wanna hear it since you won't be there?

Unless I completely don't blow it and post the video, you won't see or hear me. Here is the tweaked script....I think you'll know which parts I put in and which parts I didn't. I would never dream of being so...self important sounding.

Hold me.
(Matt introduces me)

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for being here tonight! And thank you to the National Kidney Foundation for having me. As Matt just said, my name is Nicki Hayes. My husband, 4 children and I live right here in Bloomington. I am here tonight because the National Kidney Foundation invited me to share my story, and I'm so glad they did.
Our family lost someone we love to kidney failure almost 2 years ago. We would have donated to him if we could. In doing the research on donation, I felt that if everyone knew how easy it is to donate, we could completely wipe out the waiting list. I was ready to show them just how easy it is.
With the support of my family, I decided to donate one of my kidneys altruistically- meaning I didn't know who my kidney would be going to. I only knew I wanted to help prolong or save someone's life. What I didn't know early on was that my donation would was going to be bigger than just one transplant. Then I agreed to be matched with someone from the paired donation list. My donation was going to kick off the largest kidney transplant chain in the Midwest to date.
(the recipients say their parts and join me on stage)
(Matt introduces them as the recipients of the chain)
(back to Nicki)
Little did I know that when I said I wanted to save one life, I would actually have the chance to save 5.
We are missing a big part of our story however. There would be no kidney chain at all without the four other beautiful souls who cared for their loved ones so much that they said "i will do anything to help you", and they meant it. What they did was agree to donate their kidney to someone they DID match with, if and when a kidney became available for their loved one. If that's not love, what is? I'm deeply honored to know these people. Please meet the other four donors from our July Kidney Chain.
(name the other donors and where they are from)

(closing paragraph)
Everyone has something to give. Maybe it's your time, volunteering to take dialysis patients to and from treatments. Maybe you've heard this story and realized that you have it in you to donate a kidney also. Or maybe, for you, it's financial. You can give a much needed donation which will fund the National Kidney Foundation's vital programs such as "END THE WAIT!" - which has pledged to end the wait for a transplant from 5-7 years to less than ONE. The lives that will be saved are countless. Also, the KEEP screenings which work to detect kidney disease at it's earliest and most treatable stage. Please, during tonight's pledge, be generous. Also, all of us involved in this chain have quite a story to tell, so don't be shy if you'd like to hear more.
Thank you to everyone again for being here!
