The Progression

We have our babies and we care SO MUCH about what goes into their bodies. At some point we celebrate them going to table food, where we introduce processed shit to them, and high levels of sodium etc. It's a little bit sad. I'm still feeding the infants I have here breastmilk (we can argue that what we eat gets into that too so already there's processed junk in there, I suppose) and their pumpkin/banana/whatever healthy stuff there is. But it's kinda sad.
D came with a poptart.
Sometimes it's pizza.
I'm home, so I get to make something for breakfast every morning- not that that is ALL THAT MUCH better. Pancakes or waffles or scrambled eggs or bacon all come with their own evils. I feel like it's just everywhere.

Today is the all time most perfect day for curling up on the couch, candles lit and loungin with a window open just a wee bit. That's what I'm doing in my head.
Julia drew a picture of her, and she "won"- she has the medal around her neck. She sounded out what she wanted the picture to say and wrote it on the pic. What she wanted it to say is "You won the prize!"
What she actually wrote is "You won the piss!"
I had to hide it after CJ and Josh found it. Josh thought it was cool that he got to say "piss" before I could stop him and not get into trouble.

Lyla is adorable today- she is so in love with a story from a magazine that she's carrying it around with her. It's about this really old couple who won 11.7 million dollars and how they gave every single cent of it away. they didn't even buy new cars. They have an '87 something or other and a 143 year old farm house. They gave it all away. She won't put the story down. I love her heart for that! Not bad for a 8 days shy from 5 years old!
Happy Friday!
We were going to go to the zoo on Sunday to see the babies, but it's probably going to rain. Cullen works tomorrow....but my kids are old enough to not make it hard, right? I could probably haul them all out tomorrow when it's going to be beautiful. Tomorrow afternoon. Good way to pass the day? We'll see.
