If you have a gallbladder, I think you should stop right now and silently thank it for doing it's job. While you are eating/drinking/whatever, it is silently and diligently doling out bile. That's nasty, I agree, but what's cool is that your body registers how much fat you took in, and doles out the appropriate amount of bile to help with digesting it. (wouldn't it be funny if I just told that all wrong?) When you get the pain in the ass gallbladder yanked (easy surgery)(love the no more tummy aches), there is no regulating how much bile is doled out to the stomach. It's a constant drip. When you eat fatty foods, no problem. Life carries on like normal. When you eat HEALTHY foods which are not so high in fat...well, you become *special*. And that's all I'm going to say on that. HEY! I heard the sigh of relief. Bite me. :)
I made a kick ass stir fry yesterday and the kids only took 45 minutes to eat it, the whole time taking turns telling me how much they loved it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. SOOO FUNNY. I kid you not. "Mom, this is the BEST EVER!!!." Mom: "THEN EAT IT ALREADY." But they did eat it. Then we went to the bass ponds, which was AWESOME. There were muskrats everywhere, they are SO CUTE. The kids didn't want to come back. YAY!
Alright, so I bought myself some 5HTP. Google it. Short version is that it's a plant based amino acid that increases the body's level of serotonin. I'm sure that some progesterone or estrogen or testosterone is actually what's out of balance at this moment in time, but what I know is that works. You'd REALLY laugh if you just heard me screaming at my babies to STOP STANDING ON THE BREAKFAST NOOK AND SIT DOWN AND EAT. They look at all the pictures on the wall and discuss what each drew when. It's cute. But not when they are supposed to be EATING.
Anyway- I feel like this stuff helped me the last time I was hostage to hormones so here's hoping. FML. Seriously. I just took another one. :)
Did you have teacher worship when you were little? Julia has it BIG TIME. Her teacher and her husband, who is also a teacher at the school, are coming over tonight to talk about daycare for in the fall. Julia could NOT fall asleep last night, she is SO excited for her teacher to be here, and for me to see her tummy, and for the idea that their baby will come here during the day. It's way cuter than I could ever convey on here though so I'm going to keep it to myself instead of wrecking it out loud. ;)
Another gorgeous day. Another walk somewhere tonight. Here's hoping this shit helps FAST.
HEY- I did have a REALLY REALLY good dream last night. I really REALLY needed it (can you tell? Does it show?) I'm so thankful.
OH- at the bass ponds there were a bazillion dead carp. They were HUGE- I mean from here to here. MASSIVE. Why did they all die???? Did they suffocate during the winter somehow? It was pretty sad, and kinda cool to see how BIG they are. Man. That's nuts. They weren't even picked at like birdies were enjoying them. Joshy thinks it's all the pollution in the ponds. He wants to bring rakes and clean some of the shit up. Humans really disappoint me sometimes.
Okay, for real. Carry on with your day. Go outside if you can. And hope, hope, hope for me.
